Recently, Yunnan Tianhong Technology Center won the certificate of patent for invention by “A method of reducing harm and improving quality for papermaking-reconstituted tobacco leaf” issued by the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China.

The invention utilizes the biodegradable material PBS particle to reduce the content of nitrate, nitrite and pectin in the raw material extract of reconstituted tobacco leaf, and blocks the generation of such harmful substances as nitrosamines and nitrous oxides by eliminating nitrate and nitrite, and, meanwhile, improve the sensory quality of reconstituted tobacco leaf. The invention is a method of reducing harm and improving quality for papermaking-reconstituted tobacco leaf.

The winning of the patent grant adds impetus to the company’s scientific research personnel and lays a foundation for considerable development of the company’s scientific research in the future.
